Through our work in employee engagement, we’re increasingly seeing companies struggle with how best to introduce social media tools—blogs, Twitter-like microblogs, Facebook-like collaboration platforms, etc.–to internal audiences. To understand the value social media can bring to the workplace, Gagen MacDonald and APCO Worldwide surveyed 1,000 U.S. employees to uncover their perceptions and understand how using internal social media can impact an organization’s bottom line.
