Preparing employees for the launch of a new flexible workplace model.

To remain a leader in a competitive marketplace, attract and retain the best talent, optimize performance and enhance work-life integration for its employees, Guardian Life Insurance launched a multi-year workplace strategy initiative.

Challenge

The company invited Gagen MacDonald to support the launch of Guardian on the Go — a key component of the workplace strategy, focused on establishing a standard for flexible work solutions. The program helps employees to transition to — and work productively in — a mobile work arrangement.

Approach

  • Co-created the case-for-change story with a cross-functional project team, articulating the “why” behind the initiative
  • Developed a compelling campaign tag line and creative expression
  • Created cohesive launch materials, centered around a simple three-step process for employees and managers, including interactive digital toolkits hosted prominently on Guardian’s employee portal

Results

  • Conducted a pilot launch to develop and test comprehensive materials to support and equip employees and managers through every step of the implementation process
  • Successfully rolled out the first wave of Guardian on the Go
