Bill Lane

Associate Creative Director

Bill is a veteran of the graphics industry who brings unique art direction skills to elevate communications to the next level. His industry experience and ability to visualize stories help connect clients to their employees in meaningful, resonant ways. At Gagen MacDonald, he is currently supporting a major pharmaceutical company through a merger transformation to ensure effective engagement strategies between leadership and employee workstreams.

Prior to Gagen MacDonald, Bill was an Art Director at FTI Consulting, Inc. focusing on strategic communications within the Digital and Creative Communications segment. His primary role was supporting external communications within the oil and gas industry through white papers, animations, brand awareness, sustainability reports, and infographics. Bill’s broad-based experience supported other major corporate internal and external communications in the pharma, automotive, financial, and industrial sectors.

Bill’s career started in newspapers in the marketing, advertising, and editorial departments at both Pioneer Press Newspapers and the Chicago Sun-Times, both located in the Chicago metro area. As the digital age flourished, Bill began animating graphics for news stories, eventually moving on to a role at Trialgraphix, Inc. where he created animations to explain complex patents to juries in Federal courts across the country. Bill was Lead Art Director for the Presidential commission to investigate the cause of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010.
