Tim Luukkonen brings more than 15 years of experience leading corporate communication, marketing, brand management, digital workplace strategy, and stakeholder engagement. A natural problem solver, Tim uses a combination of storytelling and analytics to build results-driven communication strategies that strengthen organizational culture, bolster corporate reputations and drive business success.
Tim believes that providing the right message at the right time to the right audience is necessary for any company to succeed. As part of the right message, he targets the “what’s in it for me” aspects to ensure team members find value in communication — whether it be from a CEO or as part of team member engagement.
At Gagen MacDonald, Tim focuses on communication for effective transformation, digital workplace evolution, and on being an advocate for employee engagement. He advises clients on strategic communication initiatives while delivering a targeted, storytelling narrative.
Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Tim was a communication leader for Vericast and its subsidiary, Scantron. In this role, he led communication for change management and M&A, developed corporate intranets, worked with cross-departmental teams to develop a brand refresh and drove key leadership messaging. He was also instrumental in developing business continuity planning and pandemic response teams. Additionally, Tim led marketing changes by implementing KPIs, process improvements and renewed approaches to segmentation. He has successfully supported projects for HR, IT, Security, Procurement, Corporate Responsibility, Leadership and Marketing.
Outside of work, Tim has a passion for food and travel. Fluent in two languages and with working ability in two more, Tim enjoys experiencing other cultures to enhance his connection with the world around him.
